We receive very few returns, but we understand that sometimes customers need to return some items for a refund or exchange, and we aim to make this simple.

I am the gift recipient, how do I return items?

No need to get the buyer involved!

Gift recipients can return their gift to us directly in exchange for store credit to spend on something else.

Simply pop a note in with your package stating it was a gift along with:

  • Your full name.
  • Your email address (for us to email the voucher to).
  • Your phone number in case we need to reach you.
  • The name of the person who bought you the gift (and their address if possible).
  • The order reference number (if possible, it is on the shipping label if you received the package directly. It begins TBG).

 

I am the buyer, how do I return items?

Thoughtful Baby Gifts is a trading name of Little Mouse Baby Clothing and Gifts Ltd, established in 2017.

Print and complete this RETURNS FORM (or handwrite all the info on a piece of paper), then pop it inside your package.

Print and attach the address label on the form to the outside of your package (or handwrite the address).

Send with your chosen postal/parcel service (we recommend you acquire Proof of Posting).

Returns will be processed within 3 working days from the date we receive the return (normally within 24 hours Monday-Friday).

You must:

  • Return the goods within 30 days.
  • Return the goods to us in their original condition (clothes must be unworn/unwashed).
  • Sets must be returned in full.

What is the cost of sending a return?

You’ll need to pay the return postage (it will be refunded if the return is due to our error), and for safety we would recommend you obtain proof of postage. Your parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us.

We cannot accept liability for goods that get lost or damaged in transit back to us. If we have to pay additional postage charges on your package, we may deduct the amount of such charges from any refund we send to you.

 

Why aren't returns free?

All retailers offering free returns have to recuperate the cost of this from somewhere, which means price rises for everyone. We'd rather not do this.

We feel it also encourages people to over-order and return more items, which means more fuel and packaging used, which isn't good for the environment.

 

How long until I'm refunded or receive a voucher?

We will refund you or exchange your purchase for store credit (a voucher code emailed to you so you can purchase something else from our website). We cannot do a manual exchange i.e. please do not request we do an exchange without going through the website.

We process returns within 3 working days of receiving the returned goods (typically within 24 hours). Refunds can take up to 7 days to appear in your bank account.

Any items returned to us must be in their original condition – if they’re not, we may be unable to accept them. We may make a deduction from the refund for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

 

Can I have an exchange instead of a voucher?

We cannot offer an exchange of products. We offer a voucher of the same value of the items you return, so you can make a fresh purchase of anything else you wish.

Why?
For accountancy, inventory and cost control reasons we need all transactions to go through our website. It also gives you more flexibility to order something different and check stock availability (we often don't have items in other sizes for example).
